Since its inauguration on September 18, 2025 by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Casablanca port new cruise terminal has recorded an encouraging dynamic, receiving 53 ships/liners and a total of 93,940 passengers, the National Ports Agency (ANP) said.

In a press release highlighting the new terminal’s first achievements, ANP emphasizes that these figures showcase the growing interest of shipowners in Casablanca and the expected positive impact on the local economy and the tourism ecosystem.

The concession to operate the terminal has been awarded to Global Ports Holding (GPH), through Casablanca Cruise Port, since January 1, 2026, by ANP, a leading international player in the management and operation of cruise terminals, the same source reports.

The ANP notes that this strategic partnership allows Casablanca to benefit from leading operational expertise and privileged access to global cruise line networks, thereby enhancing the visibility and attractiveness of the destination on global itineraries.

Designed as a truly iconic gateway to the Kingdom, the cruise terminal at the port of Casablanca, which welcomed its first cruise ship on September 26, 2025, offers cruise passengers facilities that meet the highest international standards, combining comfort, smooth travel, and quality service, reflecting the influence of the Kingdom’s economic metropolis, the press release states.

This project is fully in line with the national strategy for the modernization of port infrastructure and the development of maritime tourism promoted by the ANP.

Through this structuring project, the port of Casablanca is reaffirming its ambition to establish itself as a leading cruise hub on the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts, thereby contributing to Morocco’s prominence and strengthening its international appeal as a tourist destination, the same source concludes.
