The Moroccan Court of Accounts announced that more than 150,000 public officials, elected representatives, and civil servants had submitted mandatory asset declarations by the end of October 2025, as required under financial transparency laws.
In a presentation before the parliamentary Committee on Justice, Legislation, and Human Rights, the Court said it received a total of 154,931 declarations from individuals bound by disclosure obligations to the Court of Accounts and regional audit courts. The process aims to monitor the financial status of public officials and ensure compliance with anti-corruption measures.
The Court also reported that the draft 2026 finance bill allocates 60 new budget positions for the financial courts to strengthen oversight capacity. The institution emphasized the need to expand administrative resources and digital tools to better track declarations and follow up on cases of non-compliance.
