Royal Air Maroc (RAM) expanded its African network with the launch of a direct service linking Casablanca to N’Djamena, capital of Chad, the airline announced Wednesday.
The inaugural flight departed Mohammed V Airport at 23:40 and landed in N’Djamena at 05:05, marking a further step in RAM’s continental growth strategy.
The carrier will now operate two weekly flights, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, between the two capitals, bringing its total number of direct African destinations to 29.
According to RAM, the route responds to strong demand from Chadian travelers seeking easier access to onward connections to Europe and the Americas, while also strengthening the airline’s footprint in Central and East Africa beyond its traditional West African base.
Chief Executive Hamid Addou said the new line reflects King Mohammed VI’s vision of South-South cooperation, positioning Casablanca as a major global hub. RAM is also modernizing its fleet with more efficient aircraft to enhance reliability and comfort on African routes.
