Morocco will enhance its maritime connectivity this autumn with two new international shipping lines linking its ports to Europe.

From 16 October 2025, Japanese shipowner Ocean Network Express (ONE) will launch the Spain–Portugal–Morocco (SPM) route, a biweekly service connecting Valencia, Lisbon and Casablanca.

The line is expected to benefit Moroccan agrifood and industrial exporters by improving access to Iberian markets and global networks via Valencia’s hub.
