Police in the city of Sale arrested a 32-year-old man Thursday evening on suspicion of public intoxication and reckless driving that endangered residents and road users, authorities said.
The suspect was filmed performing dangerous stunts with a utility vehicle on public streets, according to a video widely shared on social media. Investigators identified the man and quickly located him and a passenger, both of whom were allegedly intoxicated.
Police said the pair were taken into custody shortly after the incident. They were placed under pretrial detention while prosecutors oversee the investigation to determine the full circumstances and any additional criminal offenses.
Authorities stressed that the suspect’s actions posed a serious threat to public safety and road security.
