Tourist accommodation in Marrakech recorded 5.05 million overnight stays by the end of June 2025, up 6 percent compared with 4.76 million a year earlier, according to the Tourism Observatory.
The occupancy rate in classified establishments in the Red city reached 71 percent, against 68 percent during the same period in 2024.
In June alone, Marrakech posted a slight 1 percent increase with 784,073 overnight stays, maintaining an occupancy rate of 66 percent. The city confirmed its position as Morocco’s top tourist destination, followed by Agadir with 3.1 million overnight stays and Casablanca with 1.19 million.
Nationally, classified establishments recorded a 13 percent rise in overnight stays in the first half of 2025.
