Marrakech police arrested a 38-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman Thursday over an alleged scam in which they offered to intervene in court cases for money, sources told Hespress AR.

Police detected advertisements on a social media page offering mediation services for people facing cases related to dangerous driving stunts and endangering other road users, according to Hespress sources.

The investigation led to the arrest of the main suspect in Marrakech, followed by the woman, who is suspected of helping run the operation.

Police found several documents and a driver’s license issued in another person’s name in the woman’s possession.

Both suspects were placed in custody as prosecutors oversee an investigation to establish the circumstances of the case and determine the alleged offenses.
