The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) announced Wednesday that the first ticket registration phase for the FIFA World Cup 2026 will open on September 10.
Football fans are encouraged to visit FIFA’s official website to express their interest and create a personalized “FIFA ID” to participate in the ticket draw for the tournament, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
“After the success of the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, excitement is reaching new heights as we prepare for the World Cup in 2026,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
“We look forward to welcoming the world back to North America. We urge fans around the globe to get ready and reserve their places early, as demand will be unprecedented in the world of sports.”
The tournament is set to kick off on June 11, 2026, in Mexico City, with the final match scheduled for July 19 in New York/New Jersey, which also hosted last weekend’s Club World Cup final.
The 2026 edition will be the largest in FIFA World Cup history, featuring 48 national teams competing across 104 matches in three host countries. Organizers expect a record-breaking 6.5 million fans to attend games across the continent.
