Morocco’s national head coach, Walid Regragui, took part on June 20–21 in Madrid, alongside more than 550 coaches from around the world, in the inaugural International Coaches’ Congress organized by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

This congress featured the participation of around twenty internationally renowned speakers, including the head coach of the Atlas Lions, and was attended by representatives from FIFA and UEFA, according to the RFEF.

Walid Regragui’s participation in this major event reflects the international recognition enjoyed by Moroccan professionals, as well as the Kingdom’s commitment to high-level sports coaching.

Speaking during a roundtable dedicated to the challenges of the coaching profession, Walid Regragui highlighted the responsibility that every national coach bears in a football-loving country.

“We carry a huge responsibility because the popular enthusiasm is immense. The whole country is behind us,” he stated, emphasizing the strong bond between the Moroccan national team and its fans.

Discussions focused on a range of topics such as continuous training, new challenges in technical management, and the importance of a human-centered approach in coaching.
