Moroccan civil and human rights organizations have joined a global call demanding the release of international activists detained aboard the humanitarian vessel Madleen.
The appeal urges stronger diplomatic and legal pressure from UN bodies and the Red Cross to lift the siege and ensure the protection of activists.
More than 150 organizations from 22 countries signed the call, including major Moroccan networks such as the Moroccan Association for Human Rights and the Front in Support of Palestine and Against Normalization.
They also expressed concern over the omission of Moroccan territorial integrity in solidarity convoys, attributing it to individual participants from countries like Algeria, known for opposing Morocco’s unity.
Activists highlighted that peaceful cross-border marches toward Rafah represent civil resistance and call on states to uphold their legal and ethical responsibilities.
Moroccan voices stress the need to shield Palestine solidarity from political exploitation and regional tensions.
