After a slight dip last year, Morocco’s fruit and vegetable exports have regained momentum in the 2024–2025 season, driven by strong demand across Europe and sub-Saharan Africa.

Tomatoes remained the leading product, with 649,000 tonnes exported (+9%), particularly strong from September to December. Vegetable exports saw a 25% increase, totaling 536,000 tonnes, dominated by peppers and chilies (179,000 tonnes), followed by green beans, zucchini, carrots, cabbage, and cucumbers.
Fruit exports climbed 27% to 398,000 tonnes, bolstered by a near-doubling of avocado shipments (115,000 tonnes, +92%) and significant growth in blueberries (+26%).
Exports of watermelons, raspberries, and blackberries also rose, while melons and strawberries held steady and pomegranates declined by 27%.
