Estonian authorities have issued an international arrest warrant for a 25-year-old Moroccan national, identified as “A.Kh,” in connection with a major cyberattack targeting the customer database of a pharmacy chain called Apotheka.
The public prosecutor described the breach as one of the largest in Estonia’s history, affecting nearly half the population and exposing the country’s vulnerability to cross-border cybercrime.
According to Estonian media, police investigations uncovered evidence that the suspect accessed the system illegally in February 2024 using an account with broad administrative privileges.
However, there is no indication that the stolen data has been exploited for further criminal activity.
