A farmer in his thirties was killed in a brutal attack on Tuesday morning in the “Mellaha” douar, part of the Oulad Makkoudou commune in Sefrou province, after was allegedly assaulted by three individuals using stones, bladed weapons, and dogs.
The deceased was pruning olive trees with his wife when he was ambushed by three individuals with whom he reportedly had long-standing personal disputes.
The victim’s wife was filming her husband working with her phone when the assailants, carrying sticks, bladed weapons, and accompanied by violent dogs, launched their attack.
He suffered a severe head injury and died instantly in his field.
Royal Gendarmerie services intervened after being notified of the incident. The suspects have been arrested and placed in police custody pending their appearance before the public prosecutor. The victim’s body was transported to the morgue for an autopsy.
