A 41-year-old Moroccan man died after being found with several gunshot wounds outside a private clinic in Castellanza, northern Italy, Il Giorno reported on Monday.
Emergency workers found him critically wounded outside the Santa Maria clinic shortly before midnight Saturday. They attempted to resuscitate him, but he died minutes later.
Investigators believe the man may have been shot elsewhere, transported by car and left outside the clinic. Initial examinations found mainly blood traces at the scene rather than evidence of a shooting.
Police are reviewing surveillance footage from Castellanza, Busto Arsizio and surrounding areas to identify the vehicle, reconstruct its route and determine who transported the victim. No direct witnesses have been identified.
An autopsy will examine the bullets’ trajectories and firing distance. Prosecutors are also investigating a possible connection to drug trafficking, but no motive has been established.
