Russia has exported more than 224 million doses of animal disease prevention vaccines to 11 countries as of March 21, according to a statement by the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor). The leading recipients include Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Morocco, alongside Egypt, Kuwait, and Armenia.
The vaccines, designed to combat livestock and poultry diseases, were approved by the “VGNKI” laboratories under the Federal Center for Animal Health Protection, a subsidiary of the Russian Agricultural Surveillance Agency.
According to the statement, these veterinary drugs aim to prevent various animal diseases, including foot-and-mouth disease, lumpy skin disease, bovine mastitis, peste des petits ruminants (PPR), avian influenza, and infectious bronchitis in poultry.
Rosselkhoznadzor emphasized Russia’s commitment to expanding domestic veterinary drug production, citing increasing global demand. Last year, Russia produced approximately 13 billion doses, exporting more than 600 million abroad.
