Moroccans are set to witness a partial solar eclipse Saturday, the first such event of the year, with regions across the globe also observing the phenomenon.
NASA revealed that the eclipse will be visible in North America, Asia, parts of South America, Greenland, and Iceland.
While it will not be a total solar eclipse, where the sun is fully obscured, the partial eclipse will still provide a spectacular sight for millions in Europe, North America, and parts of Africa.
The eclipse will occur between 10:00 and 10:30 AM local time, and its intensity will vary across Morocco, with the eastern regions expected to see about 20% of the sun obscured, while the western parts may see 25%.
Experts advise the use of special eclipse glasses for safe viewing and warn against directly looking at the sun due to the potential damage to the eyes.
