Morocco will witness a deep partial solar eclipse on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, as the Moon obscures a large portion of the Sun shortly before sunset.
While the path of totality will cross northern Spain, Iceland and Greenland, the eclipse will be visible across all of Morocco as a partial eclipse.
For Morocco as a whole, the eclipse will begin at about 7:40 and end around 8 p.m., although the exact end time varies by location because the Sun sets before the eclipse finishes in some areas.
In Casablanca, for example, the eclipse reaches its maximum at 7:43 p.m., with about 87% of the Sun obscured, while in Tangier the Sun will be obscured at 92.03% at 7:40 pm.
