Vivian Wilson, the estranged daughter of Elon Musk, has accused the billionaire of using sex-selective in vitro fertilization (IVF) to determine the sex of his children.
“My assigned sex at birth was a commodity that was bought and paid for,” Wilson wrote on Threads, adding that her feminine traits as a child conflicted with the expectations set by her birth sex.
“I was going against the product that was sold.”
Wilson and her twin brother were born to Musk’s first wife, Justine Musk, according to NBC News. The SpaceX and Tesla CEO has 14 children from multiple relationships, with at least five conceived through IVF.
Sex selection in IVF remains controversial and is banned in many countries but remains legal in the U.S., according to BuzzFeed.
