Morocco’s Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah held talks with World Bank (WB) Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa Ousmane Dione, aiming to strengthen the strategic partnership between Morocco and the World Bank.

These discussions provided an opportunity to review the structural reforms initiated by the government, in line with the Royal High Guidelines, and to receive an update on the progress of major projects related to the Social State project, infrastructure, employment, renewable energies and the digital transition.

On this occasion, Dione described the partnership between Morocco and the World Bank as “strong,” praising the significant advancements of the Kingdom.

He further noted that both parties aim to collaborate in several areas, including employment, the inclusion of women, regionalization, and the development of sustainable policies.

For her part, Fettah described the partnership between Morocco and the World Bank as exemplary, emphasizing that this meeting was an opportunity for the World Bank delegation to become familiar with the progress of the major projects Morocco has undertaken.

“This includes the social state and infrastructure projects, particularly addressing the issue of water scarcity, renewable energies, as well as the professional inclusion of women and youth,” Fettah said in a press release.

She also noted that the discussions covered the organization of the 2030 World Cup, given its importance in attracting investments, particularly in the private sector.
