A tragic crime unfolded in the city of Mohammedia on Sunday, as a 73-year-old man fatally shot his daughter and her husband using a hunting rifle.

According to Hespress AR sources, the Judicial Police Unit of the Mohammedia Regional Security Directorate has launched a criminal investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecution to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Preliminary findings indicate that the suspect fired at his 43-year-old daughter and her 60-year-old husband inside his home in the Hassania 2 neighborhood. The shooting was reportedly motivated by family disputes, though investigations are ongoing to clarify the exact reasons behind the act.

Authorities arrested the suspect at the crime scene and seized the hunting rifle used in the attack.
