Authorities have discovered the lifeless body of a 10-year-old boy at the bottom of a well on a farm near the Souss River, close to the Tarast neighborhood in Inzegane.
The child had been missing for over a week, prompting his mother to file a missing person report with the judicial police in Inzegane. Following the report, law enforcement launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his disappearance, including questioning a child who was last seen with the victim on the day he went missing.
Security forces, alongside auxiliary troops and civil protection personnel, conducted an extensive search operation along the banks of the Souss River and within its waters. Their efforts ultimately led to the discovery of the boy’s body.
Preliminary investigations into the incident suggest no criminal intent. Local sources indicate that, at this stage of the inquiry, authorities believe the death may have resulted from an accidental fall.
