Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget and President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Faouzi Lekjaa, announced that Morocco will require 40,000 volunteers to assist with organizing the 2030 FIFA World Cup, set to be co-hosted by Morocco, Spain, and Portugal.
Speaking at a study day organized by the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises to discuss the 2025 Finance Law, Lekjaa stated, “We have developed a roadmap and will finalize all organizational details, both large and small. For the upcoming World Cup, Morocco will need 40,000 volunteers from various fields to ensure everything runs smoothly, from the moment they arrive at the airport to their departure, covering every stage of the event.”
Lekjaa also mentioned that the training of volunteers will be handled in collaboration with Mohammed VI University, aiming to provide high-quality professional training.
“Training must cover all necessary aspects because service quality makes all the difference,” he added, stressing that organizing an event of this magnitude will push Morocco towards further development.
The President of the Royal Football Federation also confirmed that 32 cities across Morocco will host the 2030 World Cup.
