Ryanair delays Agadir to Birmingham flight for over 12 Hours, passengers sleep in 'empty' airport

Passengers on a Ryanair flight from Agadir, Morocco, to Birmingham were stranded overnight at Agadir–Al Massira Airport after multiple delays on January 5.

The flight, originally scheduled for 9:40 pm, was continuously delayed without any offer of accommodation. Travelers, including families and workers, were forced to sleep on the airport floor as they received minimal updates.

One passenger told  Birmingham Live.”No one was saying anything. The crew, bags and stairs were all taken away. Kids were crying, people were missing work and people were lying all over the airport floor. We were there since 7pm and they made us check in at the same time even though the flight was delayed.”

The flight was rescheduled several times, finally departing at 11:36 am the next day, landing in the UK over 12 hours late.

Passengers expressed frustration over the lack of communication and support, with airport staff mostly absent by midnight.

Some received a €4 food voucher, insufficient for even a basic meal. Ryanair later attributed the delays to adverse weather conditions at Birmingham Airport, which had temporarily closed due to snow.
