The state of emergency in Tunisia has been extended for one month, from January 1 to January 30, 2025, according to an official Tunisian source.

The state of emergency has been extended nationwide, under a decree published in the Official Journal of the Tunisian Republic.

Tunisian authorities have extended the state of emergency across the country since November 24, 2015, following a terrorist attack that resulted in the explosion of a presidential guard bus in downtown Tunis.

The attack left 12 security officers dead and 16 others injured, including police officers and civilians.

The most recent extension of the state of emergency took place from January 31 to December 31, 2024
