Andrew Tate has been convicted in the United Kingdom on tax fraud charges. On December 18, the Westminster Court ruled that Tate and his brother Tristan had deliberately evaded taxes on earnings of approximately £21 million ($25.4 million) generated from online ventures between 2014 and 2022.
The court authorized the seizure of £2 million ($2.4 million) from their bank accounts. The Tate brothers are accused of disguising their income as complex financial transactions to avoid paying taxes. A video played during the trial shows Andrew Tate admitting that he deliberately avoided paying taxes while living in the UK, referring to it as a “simple income scam.”
The Tate brothers’ legal issues extend beyond tax fraud. They face serious charges in Romania, including human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and rape.
Since their arrest in December 2022, Romanian authorities have accused them of manipulating women into producing adult content for profit. Although the Romanian investigation has encountered some legal irregularities, a court decision on whether to proceed with a trial is expected soon.
Tate has been banned from platforms like Instagram and TikTok but maintains a significant following on X (formerly Twitter), where he frequently mocks the “system” encourages his audience to resist authority and suggesting they invest in Bitcoin.
