Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech expressed dissatisfaction and regret over joining Turkish club Galatasaray, openly declaring his intention to leave during the upcoming winter transfer window.
In an alleged conversation with a Spor Gecesi Digital, Ziyech explained his inconsistent appearances with the club, noting that “Galatasaray is over for me. I am not happy, and I don’t want to play. I told everyone I am leaving in January.”
Addressing his absence from team activities and an uncoordinated trip to the Netherlands, Ziyech added, “They no longer ask me anything; I do whatever I want,” hinting at a complete breakdown in communication between him and the club.
When asked about his opinion of head coach Okan Buruk, Ziyech did not hold back, stating, “I have never seen a coach as bad as Okan,” further highlighting the strained relationship between the two, which appears to be a key factor in his decision to leave.
The Atlas Lion also seemed indifferent to the team’s fate when asked whether he believed Galatasaray could win the league this season.
“I don’t care much… just leave me alone. Whatever happens, happens. I already regret coming here. I would have left at the start of the season, but they didn’t let me. I’ll leave in January,” the Morocco winger said.
