Morocco will host the 2025 U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) from March 30 to April 19, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Monday.
The announcement followed a CAF executive committee meeting in Marrakech, chaired by President Patrice Motsepe. The committee also confirmed that the 2025 U20 AFCON will be held in Côte d’Ivoire from April 26 to May 18.
Both the Moroccan U17 and U20 national teams secured their places in the upcoming tournaments after strong performances in the North African Football Union (UNAF) qualifiers held last month in Morocco and Egypt, respectively.
CAF’s meeting in Marrakech primarily focused on finalizing the 2025 competition calendar, underscoring the organization’s commitment to delivering a robust schedule for African football.
