A Moroccan press delegation arrived in Israel on Monday evening for an official visit organized by the Israeli Liaison Office in Morocco. The delegation’s trip, which will span several days, includes key meetings and visits to notable sites in the country.
Sources told Hespress that the delegation boarded a flight operated by El Al, Israel’s national airline, departing from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris for a direct route to Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv.
Upon arrival, the Moroccan journalists were warmly received at Ben Gurion Airport before heading to Jerusalem, where they were hosted by Gilad Shimon, Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Regional Cooperation, at a private dinner.
The visit’s agenda includes several high-profile stops, such as a tour of Kerem Shalom Crossing, the primary entry point for humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip. The delegation will also visit Re’im, a location that was a key site of the October 7 Al-Aqsa Flood operation.
Additionally, the Moroccan journalists will meet with Avichai Adraee, the Arabic-speaking spokesperson for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).
According to informed Hespress sources, the visit is part of a broader Israeli public relations campaign, aimed at promoting Israel’s narrative regarding its military actions in Gaza and Lebanon amidst the ongoing conflict.
The delegation’s visit comes amid heightened tensions in the region, with ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip and neighboring Lebanon.
Israel has consistently faced international scrutiny over its military operations, while its supporters seek to justify the actions as part of national defense.
The media tour is expected to include additional visits to key military and security locations.
