Moroccan police officers at the Bab Sebta border crossing arrested an Algerian couple in the early hours of Saturday morning, a man and his wife, who attempted to migrate illegally using Spanish passports registered under different names.

According to Hespress sources, the Algerians had entered Morocco two weeks earlier using their legitimate passports, as Morocco does not require visas for Algerian citizens.

They later attempted to cross the border illegally by presenting Spanish passports under false identities to border authorities.

The couple, aged 23 and 30, have been handed over to M’diq police for investigation to determine how they obtained valid Spanish passports for illegal migration.
