King Mohammed VI, accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and Prince Moulay Rachid, chaired, on Friday afternoon in Rabat, the opening of the first session of the fourth legislative year of the 11th Legislature.

In his speech opening the new legislative session, King Mohammed VI affirmed that Morocco has moved beyond the management phase of the Sahara issue .

The Moroccan monarch stated that Morocco has shifted from a reactive approach to one of initiative, determination, and proactivity.

The royal speech referenced France’s recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara and its support for the autonomy initiative as a solution to the Sahara dispute.

The King stressed the need for vigilance and caution in confronting the maneuvers of adversaries, and called for all institutions to work together and coordinate their efforts to enhance their performance on the Sahara issue.”
