Hespress has learned that the Tangier Court of First Instance will hold a hearing on September 5 for the defendants in the “Al-Kheir Association” case, addressing new complaints.

According to sources, the investigative judge will begin the session with the group’s director and 11 defendants—nine women and two men—regarding the latest allegations. This case has drawn significant attention from local and national public opinion.

The judge is expected to question the group’s director, the primary defendant, in the presence of complainants. Some victims are anticipated to confront the director and other defendants during the hearing.

This case has garnered widespread interest among Moroccans, both domestically and abroad, due to the large number of victims—estimated to exceed one million—spread across various Moroccan cities, European countries, the United States, and Canada.

In the meantime, the Tangier Court of First Instance continues to receive new complaints related to the case. On Friday, additional complaints were filed by citizens through their lawyers.

Sources have indicated that the number of complaints under consideration by the investigative judge now exceeds 700, highlighting the complexity and extensive scope of the case.
