The Justice and Development Party (PJD) in Morocco has called for a parliamentary inquiry into the country’s disappointing performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Party leader Abdallah Bouanou expressed deep concern over Morocco’s comparatively poor results compared to other Arab nations and less prominent countries.
The PJD is requesting an urgent meeting of the Education, Culture, and Communication Committee to discuss the issue.
The party has invited Sports Minister Chakib Benmoussa and Moroccan Olympic Committee President Faisal Laraichi to attend, along with renowned former athletes Aziz Daouda, Said Aouita, and Nawal El Moutawakel.
The aim is to gather expert opinions and develop strategies to enhance Morocco’s future athletic performance on the global stage.
