Moroccan Boxing Federation fires coaching staff after Olympic disappointment
Sunday 11 August 2024 - 15:00

Following disappointing results at the Paris 2024 Olympics, the Royal Moroccan Boxing Federation has fired its technical director and the entire national team coaching staff. The decision came after no male boxers qualified for the Olympics and the female team failed to secure any podium finishes.

The Federation has announced the creation of a temporary national committee to oversee the teams and is seeking international applications for the position of national technical director.

Morocco participated in the Paris Olympics with three female boxers: Yasmine Moutaki, Widad Bertal, and Khadija Mardi. However, none of them were able to win a medal.
