Morocco’s Minister of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform Ghita Mezzour, alongside Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Committee for Morocco’s 2030 World Cup Bid, chaired on Friday a workshop at the headquarters of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.
The workshop focused on the information and communication technology aspects of Morocco’s bid to host this significant international event as part of the joint candidacy with Spain and Portugal.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review the progress of the national committee responsible for preparing the bid file and to ensure that all information and resources required by FIFA are available.
During the session, an agreement was reached to implement a system for tracking project completion, which will help Morocco fulfill its commitments to accelerating technology and communication-related projects.
In this regard, Mezzour emphasized the role of the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform in supporting and overseeing priority digital projects.
She highlighted the mobilization of various human and technical resources to provide a technological infrastructure that meets FIFA standards, in line with the royal vision to host this global event with strong ambition, ensuring the great success of this edition.
It is worth noting that the workshop was attended by the Director General of the National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency, the Director General of the Digital Development Agency, the Director General of the National Agency for Public Equipment, the three major telecom operators in the Kingdom, and several other officials.
