The Jordan Football Association (JFA) announced today the appointment of Moroccan coach Jamal Sellami as the new head coach of the national team, replacing fellow countryman Hussein Ammouta. Sellami will be officially introduced to the media at the end of June.

Sellami will lead the “Al-Nashama” in upcoming competitions, including the decisive round of qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The coaching staff will be entirely Moroccan, consisting of assistants Omar Najhi and Mustafa Khalfi, goalkeeping coach Ahmed Mohammedina, fitness coaches Jawad Sabry and Karim Melous, and performance analysts Karim El Idrissi and Marwan Lotfi.

This appointment marks a new chapter for the Jordanian national team as they aim to qualify for their first ever World Cup and achieve success on the continental stage.
