The year 2023 proved to be a real turning point for the OCP Foundation, marked by a series of initiatives profoundly transforming the communities it serves. With a holistic and visionary approach, the Foundation deployed a range of programs aimed at driving significant socio-economic change across Morocco and far beyond.
Education and community building
From the outset, the OCP Foundation has highlighted its unwavering commitment to education, with the implementation of 245 projects that have directly affected 86,279 beneficiaries, 49% of whom are young girls. This initiative goes beyond mere aid; it is designed to build solid foundations that will support future generations.
Working closely with the Ministry of Education, the OCP Foundation has orchestrated an innovative project in 60 schools, mainly in rural areas. This program saw the rehabilitation of 29 schools and was catalyzed by support from UM6P’s SAP+D, strengthening infrastructures to provide an improved learning environment.
Training 120 teachers and principals on the school project was a cornerstone, enabling educators to develop crucial skills for planning and evaluating educational initiatives. The Social Innovation Lab contributed by carrying out feedback studies, providing invaluable data for measuring the impact of actions taken and adjusting strategies accordingly.

Inclusion and support for vulnerable people
The OCP Foundation is also committed to facilitating access to education and professional integration for people in vulnerable situations. In 2023, it supported 16 associations across Morocco, helping more than 5,000 beneficiaries. These efforts include specific support for 98 children with Down’s syndrome, with almost half of them integrated into traditional school systems. This remarkable work also extends to 58 young people with mental disabilities, for whom the Foundation has facilitated educational and vocational insertions, enriching their opportunities for a productive life.

Boosting the social economy
The Mourafaka program, a flagship initiative in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and other entities, has focused on training and coaching over 600 Moroccan cooperatives. CoopLab has played a key role in rolling out this initiative, orchestrating various training courses and providing essential coaching for new cooperatives, preparing them to thrive in a competitive market.
Research and development
On the research and development front, UM6P’s Fund Management Unit (FMU) has been a pillar in professionalizing the process of managing calls for projects and monitoring R&D initiatives. This structure has managed an impressive portfolio of 18 research funds and supervised 200 ongoing projects, demonstrating a deep commitment to innovation and technical progress.

International commitment and South-South cooperation
As part of its South-South cooperation mission, the Foundation has initiated and supported numerous human development initiatives, both locally and internationally. In 2023, for example, it supported the development of agricultural products from the Great Green Wall in Senegal, helping to preserve biodiversity and improve living conditions for local communities.
The OCP Foundation is resolutely committed to a global approach, to being at the heart of change, using its influence to promote inclusive education, boost social innovation and support research and development efforts. Through these actions, it continues to pave the way for a future in which every individual can reach his or her potential in an enriched and supported environment.
OCP Group aspires not only to transform Morocco’s economic and social landscape, but also to set standards of sustainable development that will benefit generations to come. In this era of global challenges and rapid transformations, the OCP Foundation positions itself as a proactive and committed leader, ready to shape a future where every initiative is a building block for a better world.
