Morocco secured their place in the Futsal World Cup and achieved a historic feat by winning their third consecutive African Cup of Nations title. On Sunday, April 21, they dominated Angola with a convincing 5-1 victory.
The Atlas Lions etched their names in history, replicating their triumphs in South Africa 2016 and Laâyoune 2020, tying them with Egypt for the most African Cup titles.
The opening minutes were a struggle for Morocco as they faced a resilient Angolan defense who even managed to equalize after Morocco’s early goal by Borite (6th minute).
However, Morocco displayed their resilience, regaining control with goals from Raiss El Fenni (16th minute) and El Mesrar (17th minute) before halftime.
Despite continued pressure from Angola, Morocco maintained their attacking style in the second half and created several scoring opportunities.
