Moroccan international player Abderrazak Hamdallah criticized Morocco coach Walid Regragui, for not giving him enough playing time in matches after the World Cup.
Speaking in an interview with journalist Khalid Yassin, the Al Ittihad striker blamed Regragui for only fielding him in one half in post-2022 World Cup matches, notably against Cape Verde.
“When Regragui called me up and met me, he asked why I am considered ‘troublesome’… But our meeting clarified many things and changed his perception of me.” Hamdallah said.
The striker emphasized that the Morocco coach used to call him up for friendlies, but kept him benched and didn’t allow him to prove himself.
“How can you judge me, especially when I play a significant role at Al Ittihad and score goals?” the player concluded.
