Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique said he was open to his team’s players participating in the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris this summer, including Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi.
Although PSG has not officially stated its position, the Spanish coach affirmed in a press conference that he is open to allowing players to compete in the Paris Olympics, despite it not falling within FIFA’s international schedule.
“It’s obvious that having won the Olympics once in my country, in Barcelona, it would be strange on my part to prevent a player from participating,” Enrique said in a press conference.
Hakimi is considered a potential candidate to represent Morocco in the Summer Olympics.
