Paris Saint-Germain are seeking a versatile right-footed defender who can operate centrally and provide cover for Achraf Hakimi at right-back, according to L’Équipe.
Sporting adviser Luis Campos is working to add depth to Luis Enrique’s defence before the new season, with PSG targeting a player capable of filling more than one position.
The move is not intended to challenge Hakimi’s status as first-choice right-back, but to reduce his workload during a congested campaign across domestic and European competitions.
PSG have already strengthened the opposite flank by moving for Aston Villa left-back Lucas Digne, who agreed terms on a three-year contract after the club activated a release clause reportedly worth around €10 million.
Young defenders David Pol and Dimitri Lucia are also expected to be assessed during preseason.
Hakimi remains one of PSG’s key players and is under contract until 2029.
