The First Lady of Côte d’Ivoire, Dominique Ouattara, arrived in Salé late Tuesday afternoon for a working visit to Morocco as part of the launch of the second phase of Côte d’Ivoire’s “United, we get along better” campaign, which aims to restore hearing to disadvantaged African children.
On her arrival at Rabat-Salé airport, Ouattara was welcomed by Princess Lalla Asmae.
After reviewing a section of the Auxiliary Forces performing the honors, Princess Lalla Asmae and the First Lady of Côte d’Ivoire were greeted by the Wali of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, Governor of the Rabat prefecture, Mohamed Yacoubi, the President of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, Rachid El Abdi, and the Governor of the Salé prefecture, Omar Touimi.
Princess Lalla Asmae and Mrs. Dominique Ouattara were also greeted by the President of the Salé Prefectural Council, Noureddine Lazrek, the President of the Salé Communal Council, Omar Sentissi, the Vice-President of Lions International and representative of the Lions of Africa, Manoj Shah, the Coordinator of the Lalla Asmaa Foundation, Karim Essakalli, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Abidjan, Abdelmalek Kettani.
Princess Lalla Asmae was then greeted by members of the delegation accompanying the First Lady of Côte d’Ivoire, including Yves Tadet, chargé d’affaires of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire in Morocco, Patricia Sylvie Yao, directeur de cabinet, and Nadine Sangare, national director of the Children Of Africa Foundation.
The First Lady of Côte d’Ivoire was then invited to the traditional ceremony of offering milk and dates.
After a brief pause in the airport’s Salon Royal, the motorcade of Princess Lalla Asmae and the First Lady of Côte d’Ivoire headed for the Palais des Hôtes Royaux, the residence of Dominique Ouattara.
