The Moroccan Investors Abroad Club is planning to organize investment convoys to a number of European countries to attract investment to the Kingdom, as part of preparations for the 2030 World Cup finals.
Hespress sources explained that the investment convoys are expected to start from the Parisian suburb of Pontoise in France in April, and will head to Belgium in May, and then to the Netherlands and Germany.
The investors will be linking investment in the sports and tourism sectors to the Kingdom’s national development.
The same source confirmed that, immediately after the end of these convoys abroad, preparations will be made for investment meetings in the city of Benslimane, given that it is among the cities hosting the 2030 World Cup events, in addition to the establishment of new sports facilities, including the grand stadium.
The source additionally pointed out that national institutions in charge of managing the tourism sector will be involved, along with entities in charge of investment, in ordered to reach a partnership regarding this initiative, which aims to attract foreign investments and encourage Moroccans abroad to invest in the Kingdom.
These investment convoys aim primarily to attract the maximum possible amount of capital that can be invested in the tourism and sports industries, said the Hespress source, adding: “The desired goal of these convoys is to achieve national sufficiency in all industries related to sports supplies, and then move to export after national saturation is achieved.”
