Casablanca authorities have arrested a French-Moroccan individual on suspicion of involvement in the kidnapping and murder of the husband of Moroccan singer Rym Fikri.
Hespress sources report that the incident dates back to February 8 when police received a report of the victim being abducted by individuals driving an SUV. This led to a judicial investigation supervised by the relevant public prosecutor’s office, which resulted in the arrest of the main suspect, who contributed to kidnapping, torturing and killing the victim.
The victim’s body was reportedly disposed of in a riverbed in the outskirts of Rabat.
Forensic teams are examining the scene while the suspect and five others are detained pending further investigation into the crime, believed to stem from past disputes.
