Youssef En-Nesyri scored a brace to lead Sevilla to a 2-1 win over Rayo Vallecano in La Liga on Monday.
En-Nesyri’s goals were his 59th and 60th in La Liga, making him the highest-scoring Moroccan player in the history of the competition. He surpassed the previous record of 58 goals held by the late Atlético de Madrid and Morocco striker Larbi Benbarek.
En-Nesyri’s goals helped Sevilla to their fourth win of the season. The victory moved them up to 17th place in the La Liga standings.
