The sequel to Nicolas Cage’s 2005 film “Lord of War” is scheduled to be shot in Morocco next year.
Cage will revisit his role as arms dealer Yuri Orlov in the highly anticipated “Lords of War,” the critically acclaimed prequel inspired by real-life international arms traders, with the infamous Russian figure Viktor Bout, known as the ‘Merchant of Death,’ serving as the muse for Cage’s character
Kasbah Films, Karim Debbagh’s Tangier-based leading line producer, has secured a series of US and UK projects to be shot in Morocco, including “Lords of War”.
“We’re trying to cover four or five African countries, such as Libya, Egypt, Senegal and Mali and several countries in the Middle East, and we’ve almost found everything in Morocco,” said Karim Debbagh.
