Hollywood star Tilda Switon, who’s now a frequent visitor of the Marrakech International Film Festival “FIFM” unveiled exclusive details about her upcoming musical “The End” in an interview with Hespress EN.

Last year, we asked the award winning actress about her then unreleased film with David Fincher, “The Killer”, and she shared intricate details about her character, working with Fincher again and receiving FIFM’s “Étoile d’Or”.

This year, Swinton seemed pleased with yet another question about an unreleased project, a musical about the last human family ever, called “The End.”

Joshua Oppenheimer wrote the film, and it’s currently being edited, said Swinton.

A film about the end of the world and the very last human family, “The End” talks about an “ecological rapist who wrecked the climate,” stated the actress .

He and his family, including Tilda’s character, have lived underground in a Versailles-like bunker for 25 years.

“It’s a musical, it’s intriguing and we sing, I can’t say more about it!” explained Tilda in her interview with Hespress EN.

On visiting the festival frequently, Tilda said that “there’s something about the range of films that Marrakech manages to catch in a way that other festivals don’t. The audiences are very passionate and educated around cinema and are very much looking for new cinema and that’s always a wonderful thing for us filmmakers to come and be in dialogue with an inspiring audience like this.”

The actress emphasized the need to build hunger in young audiences, by shaping festival programs in a way that shows modern cinema alongside production from the last 100 years.

Swinton considers Jemaa Lfna square as a sacred place, having visited it for the first time in courtesy of the great director Alfred Hitchcock.

“Whenever I come to Marrakech I have to go back and touch it,” said the British talent.

After years of winning several awards, playing roles that many don’t dare to tackle, and being such an important asset for the international cinema community, Tilda thinks of switching careers and getting into palliative care.

The great actress showed great interest in the end of life care, to be able to cater to those she loves one day.

“It’s something that I could be involved in with a full heart,” she explained.

The actress was featured in FIFM’s “In conversation with”, holding cozy talks with cinema students and walking them through her rich career, very humbly.
