The Agadir–Al Massira Airport achieved a two million passenger milestone this year, marking the second time after its accomplishment in 2019.
The National Airports Office, in collaboration with the Agadir Regional Tourism Council, organized a special ceremony at Agadir Al Massira Airport to celebrate and welcome the 2 millionth passenger a Polish citizen arriving from Dusseldorf on a Wizz Airlines flight. Various partners presented gifts to commemorate the occasion.
Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the airport witnessed a remarkable recovery rate of 111 percent, hosting 1,867,653 passengers in the last ten months, compared to the same period in 2019.
Ranked third nationally, behind Marrakesh Menara Airport (second) and Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca (first), Agadir Al Massira Airport’s success stems from the introduction of new airlines connecting it to various European cities, expanding its services and reach.
