112 Moroccans stranded in Gaza entered Egyptian territory on Monday morning via the Rafah crossing, marking the largest group of foreigners allowed to cross the checkpoint from the Gaza Strip.

614 Moroccans are awaiting evacuations from Gaza strip, the Moroccan Embassy in Ramallah.

The embassy emphasized the ongoing efforts to coordinate the evacuation with various stakeholders, including the Moroccan Liaison Office in Israel and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Egypt.

It acknowledged the challenges faced during the evacuation process, citing communication difficulties in Gaza due to power outages and the control exerted by Israeli and Egyptian authorities over the Rafah crossing.

The embassy shared that the first batch of Moroccans received permission to enter Gaza on the previous Sunday, and despite new obstacles, promises were made to ensure the completion of the entire evacuation process.

One notable challenge mentioned was the presence of spouses with non-Moroccan nationalities, with the embassy underscoring the priority given to Moroccan citizens at this time.

As of now, the Rabat Embassy in Ramallah has not reported any deaths among Moroccan nationals, with one seriously injured individual receiving necessary care in an Egyptian hospital.

Reuters reported that the Rafah crossing resumed evacuations on Sunday after a two-day closure.
