The 5th Smart Transport, Logistics, infrastructure and traffic fair Forum for the Middle East Africa Region (TransMEA 2023) was launched on Sunday in Cairo, featuring the participation of 350 companies representing 50 countries, including Morocco.
The Kingdom is represented at this event until November 8 by a high-level delegation led by the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohammed Abdeljalil.
The delegation includes senior officials from the Ministry and the public establishments and companies under its supervision.
The Moroccan delegation’s program includes bilateral meetings with transport ministers attending the forum.
The aim is to explore ways of enhancing cooperation in the fields of transport and logistics.
Additionally, several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) are scheduled to be signed in areas such as rail transport, road safety, maritime transport, and merchant shipping between Morocco and Egypt.
The Moroccan delegation will also conduct field visits to the Cairo Road Safety Establishment to gain insights into Egypt’s experience in road safety. They will also visit several rail transport facilities.
