As part of the Moroccan Higher Education Leadership (MORHEL) project, 21 participants from various Moroccan universities attended the inaugural study visit to the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI).
The participants took part in a variety of educational and interactive workshops aimed at advancing the project’s goals.
Abdelhamid El Zoheiry, president of EMUNI, reaffirmed in his welcoming speech that this study visit is more than just a meeting of minds; it is also a convergence of goals, a confluence of ideas, and a catalyst for change.
It focuses on illuminating dialogues, exchanging best practices, and growing the seeds of leadership that will influence Morocco’s educational landscape.
Panel talks, seminars, project updates, and networking opportunities were among the extensive itinerary for the visit, which took place from September 28 to October 2, 2023.
The participants visited the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI), a well-known institution in the Euro-Mediterranean region that was founded on June 9, 2008, in Piran, Slovenia, with the goal of becoming a fully integrated international institution of higher education and research for post-graduate students.
Focusing on encouraging cooperation and collaboration among Mediterranean nations, EMUNI is essential in building communication and mutual understanding across various cultures and countries.
In order to strengthen the MORHEL project’s commitment to international collaboration and leadership development in Moroccan higher education, a second study visit is planned to take place at the University of Granada in Spain from November 6 to November 10, 2023.
By developing a National Center for Leadership Development (NLDC) and a related certificated National Leadership Development Program (NLDP), the Moroccan Higher Education Leadership (MORHEL) project, co-funded through Erasmus+, addresses the need for development for university leaders in Morocco.
